Sorry. I've been busy.
Last weekend, Doug, William, and Andy came over and we played some board games. I'm too lazy to rewrite what happened since I already wrote it up at board game geek. I made pizza for everyone, which turned out fairly well (new dough recipe).
On Monday I bought Carcassonne. Jason and Mary came over, and we played some more games and ate taco salad for dinner. Sadly, one of the blue meeples was missing, but I emailed Rio Grand Games, and they are supposed to send me a replacement.
I introduced Travis and Ross to Carcassonne. Travis seemed to like it, and Ross was interested. Tracey doesn't think it sounds fun, but he hasn't even played it yet. *sigh* I'll try to suck him in this week.
On Friday, after Kimberly and I ate at the Macaroni Grill (we got the random survey check), I went by The Game Keep intending to buy Hera and Zeus or the Carcassonne Expansion or maybe both, and I noticed that they had Puerto Rico, which I have been wanting for a while. I called The Game Keep on Monday and they said that they didn't have it and they didn't know when it would be in because it was out of stock at the distributor (and, in theory, not going to be reprinted until October). I just had to have it, so I used my 10% discount (because I had 100$ woth of receipts) to get that and the Carcassonne Expansion. I was very excited.
Last night, we got Andy to come over and we ate dinner and played Puerto Rico. It's a pretty keen game. Very interesting turn mechanic. Unfortunately, Kimberly wasn't feeling too well, so it wasn't as enjoyable for her as it could have been.
We watched Firefly. It was okay. Better than a lot of stuff on TV. I'll probably watch it some.
