Malachi's Log: 010623 (saturday)

Whooo! We finally went to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest.

Shannon, Doug, William, Jody, and I met in Cookeville, TN and then drove over to the park. Only about four hours in the car... bleh.

Anyway, the trees were nice and big*. We went on the two mile double loop. I even got a group picture*. There were also a few streams* that crossed the trail. On our way back to the parking lot, we walked down a little bit of the naked groud trail before going back to the car.

I found the woods there to be more like where I grew up. The woods over at Scott's Gulf just didn't remind me of home in the same way.

After leaving the park we went up to Townsend, TN to eat at Dead Beat Petes and bug McCall for not going with us. I ate a potato. They had some live bluegrass music.

After we had eaten, we drove up to Knoxville, TN. We hit The Disc Exchange and McKay's Used Books and CDs. I was starting to not feel well, so I wasn't really interested in getting much.

By the time we left Knoxville, at around 9pm CST, my head had begun to hurt. It just got worse on the way to Cookeville, and I was in a lot of pain by the time I got back to Nashville so I went to bed.

Overall it was a lot of fun.
